Edit video like a doc: fix a word, the captions follow

Burned-in captions are the norm on TikTok, Reels, and Shorts — but they're also where a transcription mistake hurts the most. A misheard brand name in 80-point caps is not a small bug. TailorClip's answer: edit the transcript, not the timeline.

Word-level, with real timings

The Studio's Transcript tab shows every word of your video with its exact timing, and marks which words made it into the cut — words the edit removed appear struck through, so you can see exactly what the AI kept and skipped.

Double-click to fix

Double-click any word, type the correction, hit Enter. The fix is stored against the exact word index, and the captions pick it up on the next render. For caption-only fixes there's a fast path — "Apply word fixes (captions only)" re-renders just the caption layer instead of the whole video, so a typo fix takes a fraction of the time.

One honest limitation

Today you can fix wording from the transcript; cutting or restoring footage by clicking words is coming soon — it requires a re-plan under the hood, and TailorClip refuses to silently throw away your manual edits to do it. When the render-safe version lands, it will go through the same edit-preserving pipeline as everything else in the Studio.
